Sorry to be a pest, but the more I read about Greg Nelson the more I think you should go there if you really want to know how to fight.

He's competed in Muay Thai (real kickboxing, which is effective, especially in comparison to TKD) and is one of the FEW BJJ black belts in the US.

I'm not a fan for Muay Thai for self-defense. I have a good friend back in Colorado who did Muay Thai, and I swear, the guy was always in some kind of cast or another. Wrists, hands, arms, legs, feet, something was always broken. If it wasn't killing him it was setting him up to a crippled old man one day who would barely be able to move. I questioned his dedication to this art in a bar one day. I think he was deeply offended that I fell off the barstool laughing when he said, "I don't want to get hurt on the street one day."

Much, much later, I learned about the real medical complications that Muay Thai fighters are susceptable to in old age, and I really felt sorry for him.
