Where were you Harry? Where was congress? They stayed "on vacation" much longer than the President did, and when you did come back all most of you did was call for commissions.

You people are hopeless.

And Rush is REAMING the congress critters right now. Asking why is it that THEY get a free pass.

The Executive Branch is vested in a person, not a place.

Why is it the President was on vacation but the Congress was at recess?

Where were all these RATS calling for an investigation into how 84 Americans were incinerated at Waco? They weren't very curious at all about that loss of life.

Wasn't Congress on vacation at the same time?

Yeah. And who was that cowboy feller who called 'em back early?

The President of the US is one of the only positions where you NEVER are on vacation...no matter where you are, the job, the responsibility and the PRESS never leave you!!!!

The letter was obtained by the Associated Press.

Most probably sent to the AP by Dingy Harry himself.

I think Karl Rove gave it to the AP.

These people are not only dangerous, they're stupid! The U.S. President may be in Crawford, Texas or even boating with Ted on Chappaquidick but he is NEVER on vacation. Or at least a good and honorable President like Bush isn't.

I didn't see Congress rushing back to DC to get into emergency session.

Ok. I thought I had seen the pinnacle of pathetic during this crisis, but I'm a big enough man to admit I was wrong...

This sh*t is starting to scare me. Grown men and women spouting such garbage, what else are they willing to do to bring down the adminstration?

President Bush's declaration means nothing. He should have been in New Orleans supervising the evacuation before Katrina was ever declared a hurricane.

Or maybe they think the President was playing golf and refused to take any calls even on issues of great importance until he was done. Oh, wait, Clinton did that too.

But he always took calls while getting a BJ under his desk in the oval office....guess we should be grateful! ;>)

Harry should read more newspapers before stepping off the ledge of a tall building.

Does he honestly believe that his moronic screed is going to win hearts, minds, considerable donations and VOTES between now and 2006?

Especially when one of their prime, lock step voting blocks have been scattered to the wind?

Just curious.

Jack.

The Senate democrat leader has become a spiteful, petty little man.

But it will be fun to here him explain how Bush being on vacation kept Blanco and Nagin from evacuating the city or providing supplies for the shelters.

Hey, maybe they could investigate whether Bush's having to deal with questions about whether he would meet with Cindy Sheehan prevented him from responding quickly enough.

Remember that the last two years of Clinton's administration, every time he messed up the democrats blamed it on his being distracted by his critics....

I really believe they would have someone off him if they had the opportunity and could get away with it. So deep is the blind hatred and pathology.

LOL......I hadn't thought of that "angle," but it is good comic relief, isn't it?

Actually, Bush was running his leaf blower on his Crawford lawn, thus stirring up a small wind gust that eventually merged with tropical storm Katrina and turned it into a Cat. 5 hurricane.

Hey Harry - do you realize a large majority of Americans are "mobile" employees, who work at home, on the road, at client sites, in Starbucks and basically all over the US? Do you realize that they are all laughing at you?

Have you ever heard of a cell phone? A Wireless Network? How about a Blackberry?

Liberals are so brilliant.
