This was by far the worst case of news reporting in the history of this country.

This side of the Atlantic the Bush baiting in the British and Irish medias also started in earnest - natural disasters are meant to be times when non-partisanship prevails, but that is expecting too much decency from liberals!

I am not religious person, but last tonight while channel surfing, I lit upon the 700 Club. To put it mildly, I was most impressed as to what the people of faith are accomplishing.

Program was centered on Long Beach MS (haven't seen that town on MSM) which was almost wiped out and the Salvation Army there was in full operation. Field kitchen was feeding many storm victims hot meals. Even the out of state LEO and some military types were being feed and/or sheltered, and nothing was being done on the government dime.

Operation Blessing was running in the semi trucks, unloading food stocks and headed back out for more. All people making it happen were volunteers, and from what I saw, the entire operation was a model of efficiency and compassion.

Nondenominational Churches are working together with other non-governmental relief groups to meet with President Bush to work out a plan to synergize the operation to insure that as it grows, it does not overlap, nor miss areas where help is most urgent. Also, the nation's churches are networking so any church that can, will take from one to as many families as possible to give care and housing.

It was an uplifting and heartening thing to see, especially so after watching the doom and gloom MSM gaggle blubbering about all that is wrong, every individual victim's plight, and would the government be able to take care of them.

I also discovered that for all those storm victims in the Houston Astrodome, their food is supplied by donations and all three hot meals a day are cooked by volunteers. The churches in Houston are raising five million dollars to assist what they termed, their guests.

In short, to me, it was a vivid display of that old American can do spirit which the MSM and lefties love to denigrate. Saw a side of Pat Robertson I didn't know of, he appeared to be in his element and working his tail off to get things done.
