I was standing in the group directly across from Bingo, the guitar man and despite the seriousness of our mission, it was hard not to laugh.

In a desparate bid to rally their apathetic and often bewildered comrades, they brought in an aging hippy with a guitar and a harmonica who's rendition of "This Little Light of Mine" was greeted with gales of laughter from the FReepers across the street. Some of whom (moi) lit their cigarette lighters and waved them in the air.

Although the FReepers shouted requests for more mature tunes: Freebird, Purple Haze, Raw Dog War Hog, etc. he continued to play children's songs. He had a small repetoire. A rythmically challenged man in their group attempted to provide percussion by beating on his sign. More laughter from the FReepers across the street ensued.

When one of the good guys held up a sign that asked the Code Pinkos: WHERE IS YOUR FLAG? DID YOU BURN IT? (or words to that effect.) They scrambled around and found one. Too funny.

Several soldiers stopped by to thank the FReepers for being their to support them but were promptly told they - the soldiers - deserved the thanks, praise and gratitude of all Americans.
