That most important part of the FReep occurred late in the night, but should be described first. Two young Army medics, one woman and one man, came over to thank us for being there. The woman told me that there are 6 patient rooms at Walter Reed where patients gather to watch out the window and cheer the FReepers' arrival. They eagerly tell other patients, who then come into those rooms to look at the MOAB (tgslTakoma's great Mother-of-all-Banners), the American flags, and the FReepers. Patients, who are unable to come to look out the window, are told that the FReepers have arrived. (One or more of the troops looked up on the internet and found out about us including that our huge banner is named the "MOAB.")Heartwarming ping!
