Is this the barge which supposedly ended up on the other side of the levee after the hurricane? On local radio this morning I heard that there are pictures of the before and after.

This is the first description of the storm surge on Lake Pontchartrain. Lots of people who were resilient and self-helpers. The whole story will never come out. There is just too much to tell.

Laura Ingraham interviewed Jim Caveziel and Brent Honore, who is a local of Baton Rouge, a contractor, and a cousin of General Honore. They were horrified by the conditions, administratively, at a shelter in Baton Rouge, and were describingt what they saw and were told by staff of the shelter. Blaming the lack of organization on FEMA. Neither Laura or her guests ever mentioned LOCAL Baton Rouge Emergency Management people. I am getting the feeling that Louisiana, not just New Orleans, needs major revision.

Apparently, the Red Cross is responsible for beds and food, so they would not/could not distribute clothing that was pouring into the shelter. I was screaming at the radio: Laura, ask your guests WHO was responsible for opening the doors to the Red Cross. WHO decided to put people where the cots were set up. That would be WHO needs to answer a few questions. Not the non-descriptive "they."
