"They never offered them transportation out of the city."
And then the CNN liberal hack switched the subject to asking her about showers?
How obvious.

LABARRE: They did not offer these people a way out to begin with. They offered them a ride to Superdome. They never offered them transportation out of the city. The best line out of the whole interview. She wasn't referring to FEMA, either.

Soledad - nothing more than a Katie Couric clone.

I've seen several reporters make the "mistake" of getting hold of a good old-fashioned Southerner. Usually, they let go pretty quickly.
And, by the way, I will continue to ignore what little journalistic talents O'Brien has by concentrating all of my attention on her chest.

LABARRE: They did not offer these people a way out to begin with. They offered them a ride to Superdome. They never offered them transportation out of the city. S. O'BRIEN: Do you have a working shower?
Exactly. How astute of Soledad to observe that LaBarre was not going to conform to the official view of CNN that the whole thing is Bush's/FEMA's fault-- and quickly abandon the obvious line of newsworthy questions that Labarre's remark invited.

LOL My thoughts exactly!

Thanks for posting. . .as for . . .
LABARRE: Don't touch me. . . .what did THAT mean. Someone overly anxious to move LaBarre from camera range or what?

Soledad's presence in New Orleans, over a week after Katrina hit, is just so damn phony. She's an anchor, stuck to the studio. It's so obvious that she and her bosses thought she should go there to prove she's a big-time journalist so later on they can use the footage of her being there in future CNN promotions. "Look at me, I went to New Orleans ..."
So transparent. Gag.

amazing..... maybe Katie, er I mean Soledad, learned something from the smack-down..... but I doubt it.
fwiw, I knew Soledad O'Brien more than 15 years ago when she was an undergrad.... never thought much of her intellect or that she would amount to much.... imagine my shock when she started showing up on CNN.... but then I guess we can say it doesn't take any kind of intellect to make it with CNN (in fact, intelligence would be a great hindrance) and we can also say she hasn't amounted to much..... :^)

LABARRE: OK. I'll fix you a cup of coffee. Do us all a favor, Delia, and make CNN's coffee with floodwater.

LABARRE: We have plenty. We stocked up, you know?LOLWait, doesn't she mean, "We looted, of course. We had no choice--it was for survival"?

How utterly crass of you....look at her eyes first, then act bashful and look down...that way, she won't know what you are looking at!!!! (I'm old and learned that many years ago, but I don't remember why I just thought of it!!)

Typical of lib reporters to quickly change the subject when any truly significant comes up.... why would Katie, er Soledad, want to pursue the obvious line of mendacious incompetence by city and state officials when it would only prove embarrassing to the Demagogic Party???
