Pipe Bomber Sought in Huntington(Huntington Beach, CA : "Surf City" no less)

HUNTINGTON BEACH – Three pipe bombs have exploded in the city in recent days and police warned residents today to alert officials and stay clear if any suspicious devices are spotted.

The bombs are constructed with galvanized-metal pipe and contain a black-powder explosive. They are designed to cause serious injury and property damage, police said. At least one of the bombs was hidden inside another object.

There were no reports of injury or serious property damage from the three explosions.

The bombings occurred at Holland Drive and Marken Lane about 9:50 p.m. Aug. 31, at Pacific Coast Highway and 12th Street about 12:30 a.m. Monday, and at Frankfort Avenue and Hill Street about 8:15 p.m. Monday.

Police are looking for a possible suspect, described as a male in his early 20s, 6 feet tall, wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, denim shorts, a white T-shirt and a white windbreaker.

I grew up in Newport Beach(Next Door) and there are some Real Bad Asses in Huntington, Ya just don't hear about them.

Dollars to doughnuts the guy is just a typical young male (albeit a late bloomer) who has no intention of hurting anyone, but just likes to have fun by hearing things go BOOM.

The comment "They are designed to cause serious injury and property damage" is extremely stupid. If he wanted to hurt someone he already would have. The media are simply milking this all they can.
