You are absolutely correct. Government cannot even govern itself that well.
Saudis are rich because the let private sector take care of business. Communism WILL fail in Venezuela just as elsewhere.

Sure it is...for a small, corrupt group of elites. And they're the only ones that matter, right?

Just like when Castro got started. No one wanted to call it the "C" word but everyone knew that's what it was.

"The people of Venezuela better wise up soon or they will be suffering from a communist dictatorship for a long time."

Too late. The rich fled when he was elected taking everything but their land with them. The people who work for a living tried to stand up to him, but he has beaten them back, taken over the courts so they will rubberstamp anything he does. He owns the military and uses them and the cops against demonstrators. They have done everything they legally can including trying to re-call him, but our very own ex-pres. "Jimmah" Carter, said he won the re-call election fair and square so he is firmly ensconsed as a dictator collecting all that oil $ we send him, using it to arm himself and his commie buddies all over S.A.

Now watch as Venezuela's economy and social structures begin swirling 'round the toilet bowl.

Foreign investment begins to disappear in 3... 2... 1...

Unfortunately, Venezuela is already a lost cause.

I always thought Ketchup Boy was more of a "NeoCom."

He is. Neoliberal is a European term for what we would think of in the U.S. as a Jeffersonian conservative.

I'm thinking they mean "neo-liberal" in the European sense, i.e. someone with a respect for property rights.

Yup. Life, Liberty, and Property.
