Why do you waste your time worrying what 10% think?
I wonder what Lance Armstrong would think about that?
You'll never see it. They'll just change the subject and find some new "high crime".
Unfortunately, don't hold your breath. They deserve all the opprobrium we can muster, but don't expect their "moral clarity" to be confused by facts. Especially not inconvenient facts.
Good rant. But why no cheese after the shower?
I received this email yesterday and thought I would pass it along:
One of the largest storms in history hit New Orleans on Monday. Chaos broke out on Tuesday and Wednesday. There was flooding, small arms fire, looting, massive destruction, loss of all utilities and city services. By Thursday and Friday the situation was being stabilized. By Saturday, law and order had been restored; we were receiving pictures of New Orleans residents bowling in Baton Rouge, being placed on cruise ships, and arriving safely in Houston, St. Louis, and Indianapolis. Ten days later, their children have new clothes, new books, new haircuts, and they are heading for school in Houston. Thousands of responders have secured the city and efforts are underway to re-engineer and permanently improve the city drainage system. Whether you choose to see success or failure here is largely a matter of your personal point of view and a reflection of your level of personal experience. Personally, I think this is an incredible success story, and I believe that the rapid rescue of New Orleans is additional evidence that we live in a great country.
You'll never see it. I saw a black female reporter on TV who started by saying that Bush delayed shipping supplies to NOLA so that blacks would suffer and when the absurdity and baselessnes of that claim was proved she countered that it didn't matter because relief was delayed in getting to these people, for whatever reason. What mattered was that Bush was happy to see blacks suffer!
Actually, that's a good thing. Given you can only be elected to the Office of President twice, then GWB can run again in '08.
Never understood why some freepers quote that drivel of a source either.
On-line discussions are not meant to change the mind of the challenger. On the other hand, he lurkers' minds are changeable.
If a conservative exposes his position with facts and logic, he will be appealing to the large middle of undecided or uninformed lurkers.
I applaud any conservative who takes his time to engage a liberal when such possibility exists. I don't have the patience or the inclination to do it, but I admire the folks who do it.
More like 48% stupidity by the last election and it only takes few more uniformed shep to sway the next election.
If the President won't defend himself, you might as well give it a rest.
I remember when Clinton got his top people gathered around him to tell the nation they each believed he did not have sex with that woman. Each one put his own credibility on the line to stick up for their leader.
I don't hear so much as a cricket from the Bush cabinet. Nobody in Washington besides Laura Bush has spoken up in hearty defense of President Bush.
Like they would ever admit it.
They are wrong so often they have it down to a science.
Throwing smoke bombs like Watergate, and iran contra bla blah, soon youll find yourself trying to correct so many factual errors and gross abortions of logic on so many issues youll drive yourself nuts by the end and they will be just as vacuous and eager as before. I have managed to debate a few people out of thinking communism was a good idea, and gun ownership is not only a right of Americans but also a duty and good idea generally but those victories are rare, and fair people few and far between.
Choose your battles wisely.
Never underestimate the power of ignorant people in large groups.
