you do have the waters of the Gulf stream just off the coast of Norway. I used to go there all the time and found that it seldom snowed on the coast, go a few miles inland........ boy, then you get it.

Except according to global warming models; melting ice caps are supposed to flush the Atlantic with fresh water thus driving the wamer Gulf Stream Waters down which in turn would turn things into global cooling or some such.
