Greetings, all:
Thanks for the many responses. I started the thread and was waiting to see if anyone could confirm or deny the story.
By the way, I hope that no one will conclude that I'm a Rush hater. I'm a 24/7 subscriber and I was a guest on his show for an hour (interviewed by Walter Williams) in December of 2002.
There was a policeman from Fort Apache interviewed last week. He was practically in tears and said to tell his wife Rachael that he loved her. He looked very distraught. I wonder if this was the guy. Anybody know?
Pardon me, sir, but sounds like a tall tail. I have listened to Rush since he went national, including when Walter E. Williams substitutes, and Dr. Williams seldom if ever has an hour-long guest, unless you are perhaps ... Thomas Sowell ???
Care to back up your tall tale ???
So who are you that Rush would interview you for an hour?
btw, I'm impressed!
Greetings,
At least one of these sources may be adequate. Of course, if I had read on the CNN site that I had been interviewed on Rush's show, I probably wouldn't believe it...

Dr. Williams interviewed me on Rush's show either before or after publishing this column. I don't claim to be Thomas Sowell, but the day after WEW interviewed me, he did interview TS--WEW mentioned me and my report to TS.

Welcome to FR cj. Great to have you here!
What do you base your confidence on? Did Rush independently confirm the story? Absolutely not. He got an e-mail from a friend and just passed it on. The friend may just not know what in the hell he was talking about.
Kudos!
yeahBaBy,... what took you so long to get here? LOL!! wait until yer part of a good Opus thread ,... Poobah's opus lasted almost an entire weekend , it was like a deadbeat party near the end
Two: According to this source
According to the obituary in the Advocate of Baton Rouge, Accardo left a wife, Anne; his mother, Catherine; a brother; a sister; and eight nieces and nephews.HE HAD NO CHILDREN!
Three:
Accardo who also lost his home in the flood waters looked like a zombie, like someone who hadnt slept in year, Defillo said. But so did so many on the 1,600-member force.HIS HOME WAS/IS UNDERWATER! What "home" was he returning to? How were they raped underwater?
Did Susan Smith start this rumor?
"Rush ought to keep quiet unless HE KNOWS IT IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE"
Too bad the mainstream media does not have to abide by this rule.
It is clear to me that Rush was just passing on an unfounded rumor.
The same may be true in his comment about Charmaine Neville, although there seems to be some confirmation at:

But she isn't so explicit in this one:
