If they died before the end of August, the checks that came in September would have to be returned. If they died in September, Broussard could keep the checks.

Not only is it possible-I heard Maxine Waters say that's why they didn't leave....pension and welfare checks come at the first of the month. I heard it with my own ears and posted it somewhere on FR.
