Agreed.

Some [but not all] of those who took the opposing stance appear to be determined to see the pets [particularly the dogs, for some reason] expediently & efficiently butchered rather than allow -other people- to help them as much as possible.

I'm still awaiting an answer to the question posed by another poster;

What compels people who have no personal interest in a given topic [or cause or passion] to come and harass those who do?

That's just it, it is a "compulsion" that these people have. I reckon there are many reasons from Freudian to simple, "drive-by" commenting. Some read more into the original post and posts than is really there. I have yet to have been on an animal thread where the beginning article, or the following replies did not, in any way, advocate the saving animals before humans, but there is invariably the poster who must make the universal declaration of; "get your priorities straight!".

It's for some, a misunderstanding and human nature. For others, it's a pathology. I'd hate to be the latter's kids and those kids animals.
