I was hoping you would see this article.

No credit due to myself, I dropped out of Brownies after one year. That was in 1971.

Although it wasn't as "PC" back then as it is now, we still were able to do some fun things like cook outs, wild flower collections, ect...things related to the outdoors.

(ha, I didn't even know what "PC" meant then, but I had a suspicion of what didn't seem right)...

I knew it was time to go. I did more "outdoor" things with my family and learned more from my dad than anything the Brownies or Girl Scouts could teach in the short, few years left he had on earth with us then.

Very sad to hear they went feminazi.

Fortunately around here the Girl Scouts still work on outdoor skills, and just plain fun things with the kids. They are not into the feminism part of it, from what I have seen. (Both of my girls were in the program for awhile before moving on....)

I was in the Cub Scouts for a few years, but eventually moved on as well. (I wanted to join the Girl Scouts, but alas, to no avail.)
