If any of it is true, which seems unlikely.

What kind of newspaper is this? Is it a trashy tabloid? The article does not match the headline, and that's a clue for a bad newspaper. Legitimate reports from legitimate sources have stated that in each hospital there were a few patients that the doctors could not treat and could not evacuate, and were very likely to die.
Under those circumstances, any doctor or nurse will administer enough pain killers to ease the patients' suffering, which is what the quotes support. But that is very different from administering enough morphine to kill the patients.
The text describes the second circumstance, which is normal under these abnormal conditions. Therefore, the title is a lie -- a deliberate lie -- IMHO.

More than likely it's just the euthanasia group trying to push their agenda.

Duplicate, and Bogus, all in one.
Google William Forest McQueen, and you will find he is a gardner.

Why is it that these doctors spoke only to the British press? Don't the 'Mail' and the 'Telegraph' also report on alien abductions and crop circles?

"Shoulda' took that one to the grave. No need to talk about it."
That what I was thinking. It can't do anyone any good to talk about it.
One has to do what one has to do.

Their families believe their confessions are an indictment of the appalling failure of US authorities to help those in desperate need after Hurricane Katrina flooded the city, claiming thousands of lives and making 500,000 homeless.

I concur. I may be naive but I just don't believe this now, nor the first time it was posted.
Hypocratic Oath is still sacred among most doctors.
If it does prove to be true in the end we should press murder charges against the THUGS that shot away the rescue choppers.

"Not all homicides are premeditated."
The thou shalt not kill, is a premeditated homicide, and has a completely different penalty than negligence, or in this case protection from the gangs and thugs, in the eyes of the Heavenly Father. We are to protect ourselves and to kill in that act is not a premeditated homicide.
If this story is correct, doesn't sound like the physicians acted out of malice of forethought.

The first organ to fail on my mother was her skin. She was in constant pain. The hospice nurse gave me pretty much unlimited morphine in straws. I kept her medicated. She might have lived longer without it. It can relax someone and let them die but it isn't euthansia. I guess this was different. Sounds like the intent was to kill, not to ease pain. sad. but I can't help but think that there were choices.

"So where did the morphine come from? Docs just walk around with powerful opiates in their pockets that the druggies want?"
There is usually an automated dispenser in the ER. You just put in the pt's ID card, what you need and it dispenses it.

First, let's see if it's true. This story broke in a tabloid, and the guy who gave them the "exclusive" was a gardener. I have my doubts.
