Second time I've seen this article and I still don't buy it. The pharmacy was all locked up. So where did the morphine come from? Docs just walk around with powerful opiates in their pockets that the druggies want? Something just doesn't sit right with this.

There is usually an automated dispenser in the ER. You just put in the pt's ID card, what you need and it dispenses it.

No kidding. I saw an interview the other night with some Doc, who stayed in the hospital with abondoned DOGS!! for heavens sake, so these medical professionals stuck a needle in some old guys arm??? Pretty big pill to swallow if you ask me..

Ever been to a cancer ward? Ever watched a family member die of that awful wasting disease? Morphine is on hand in quantity in any cancer ward as it's the only way to ease the pain of a cancer sufferer.
