"In other words, this administration did not believe in mass transit. They won't even get people to work on a sunny day, let alone getting them out."
We can't let up just because she's a crazy woman.

She's not crazy, the democrats just don't give a damn and they say whatever they are allowed to get away with. Note that she deftly left the realm of sane commentary as it suited her. First, what do school buses have to do with "mass transit"? Next, did anyone deny the mayor federal reimbursement if he used city funds for some overtime pay? The city would in fact have been repaid. But aren't the lives of the citizens more important than the city budget?
And tell me why a supposed lack of federal mass transit funding created disgruntled school bus drivers who would refuse to report to work to help out in a crisis.
Finally, the big one - note the Mayor NEVER ASKED a single bus driver to come in and save poor people. The Senator just knows it wasn't worth trying. But the federal govt, well they should have been parachuting commandos into the driver's seats.

I'm not even a politician, yet I know mass transit is something every Mayor and their City Council is responsible for providing or not providing its community.
Maybe Mary Landrieu should consult with Ted Kennedy on how the City of Boston is handling their "Mass Transit" debacle. Geez, IMHO, the Dems still haven't figured out we are on to the "Good Ole Boys Club".
