Interesting take on this, but from what I've read, different vets have different chip readers and one might not be able to read the chip my pet has.
I'll wait a bit until they standardize more.

The dominion we were given over the beasts of the fields carries with it responsibility for their well-being, too. Bless those who care for the ones who cannot speak of their hurt and fear. Well said.

PETA only cares about taking the land away from humans to save snails, toads, etc.

I stopped to get a new collar for my Golden Retriever this morning and noticed that the pet store is attempting to fill a trailer with food and pet equipment this week to send south. (The Feed Bag -- don't know if they are a chain) They are soliciting cash donations so they can buy pallets of food at wholesale. I think I may donate to them, although I've been impressed with Best Friends too. Golden Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin is a great organization, but I don't know if they are helping in this endeavor. We're a little far away.

Because of an article on Free Republic, I discontinued my long membership in the HSUS. Now, are you telling me it is a good organization that does use all of the money for the animals?

No. I'm not saying that. I'm saying that they are in there working and saving animals right now. I still don't agree with their euthanasia policies. Give your $$ to another organization that you can keep tabs on, like a local Rescue Club, or Best Friends.
