This is a hilarious vid clip of Martin Savage going into a WalMart and confronting various looters, which include a pair of female cops. He is deadpan hilarious.

In any large organization the top 10% of employees do about 50% of the work. When the bad cops left the good cops didn't have to prop them up anymore.

That was a great b*tch slap on the louse Olberman by Savage. Funny how the intellectually weak cannot even find contempt in policewomen stealing during a time when law and order is needed most. Very surprised this was even shown on MSNBC considering their track record.

IIRC those were two Gretna cops, both were arrested about a week later and were unable to bond out due to there being no bail bondsmen left in New Orleans.

Mrs. Lurkin was amused by one request for aid shortly after the storm passed through New Orleans: "Send plus size clothing".

NOBODY wants an I (heart) NO PD.

In fact I predict NO PD is going to be the subject of many jokes. NO PD "we don't just stop looting, we participate"

Between that clip and the gun grab video with the elderly ladie it is safe to assume that NOPD shows the absolute worst of police actions

The little old lady was tackled by a member of the California Highway Patrol, he was accompanied by Louisiana State Police.

I think the NOPD was in Dallas with da Mayor of NOLA.

Do normal rent-a-cops carry guns?

In many places, some do, and some don't. In Texas they can if they are licensed to do so. As I understand it, the ones who can carry get paid more than the ones who aren't. I know one Taco Cabana in San Antonio would have an unarmed rent a cop most nights, but weekend they would have an armed one. Friday and Saturday night, they'd have the guy that actually looked like a cop or retired military. The rest were fatter than me, and that took some doing then.
