Today, President Bush met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani in the Oval Office, and together they had a joint press conference in the East Room of the White House.

This afternoon, President and First Lady Laura Bush left the White House for New York City, where the President will address the United Nations.

Tell Mike if they ship him to Walter Reed, I'll treat him to a Steak Dinner :-)

On another subject... Did you happen to see the Press Conference with President Bush and Iraqi President Jalal Talabani?

Talabani's remarks were very moving, he looked directly into President Bush's eyes as he thanked the United States for the sacrifices we have made for their Freedom. Talabani then looked right into the camera and thanked the American people and called us "Dear Friends" after he called President Bush a "Visionary".... IMHO.... THIS IS WHY WE GO, I just wish I could have been a part of the liberation of Iraq

Yup, And I will never forget their service, Mike and Eric are my FReeper Heroes and I am truly grateful that we have people like Mike and Eric that are so willing to stand up for this country and as long as I am alive, I will do whatever I can to support men like Mike and Eric.

Today we saw President Bush accept responsibility for the first real screw up by his administration, and I will guarantee you that today was another Bullhorn moment like we saw in NYC. Cause he stepped up, not only to push the rescue efforts, but also to accept responsibility when he feels the response by his Government was lacking. THAT IS LEADERSHIP, and I seriously doubt we will see Nagin or Blanco do the same, and America will rally behind president Bush in the next few weeks......... MARK MY WORDS

The Dems never expected Bush to say this today...and already the MSM is twisting his words...even O'Rielly told Newt that Bush accepted responsibilty on *all levels*...wrong, he did not say that and Newt did not correct BOR.
