BTW -- they must be having apoplectic fits that $15 million was allocated to watch where and how all the funds are being spent... guess all out letters did some good.

I am so glad you posted that...

I was cleaning the kitchen earlier, when I heard a replay of Chertoff talking about that oversight committee, (or whatever it will be called)...

It is a shame that we have to spend 15 million to keep an eye out for corruption and overspending and such...but, such is the world and especially the dems in one of the most corrupt states in the USA..

I saw a rep. from IOWA tonight on c-span, Rep. King...and he was really not happy that the 50 BIllion that was funded earlier this week, did NOT have any strings on that amount going to FEMA...

I also heard Landrieu on the Senate floor last week, practically before the flooding had stopped, saying that all of the money going to the Gulf area should be handled by the Gov., Senators, and local politicians of the affected areas...because "only people that live down there, know where the $$$$ needs to go".....LOL
