More than half of those polled said they were willing to pay more taxes to help with Katrina recovery, job training and housing for victims. Three-fourths said they are not willing to pay more for gasoline to help with the recovery, however.

hmmm, somehow this does not add up.
willing to pay more taxes
not willing to pay more for gas
both for same reason.
sorry I am not willing to pay more taxes so they can rebuild it and then in a few years have it get hit again and start all over again,
and as for jobs and education, we have been throwing money at this problem for how long now? and has there been any improvement?

Getting jobs for people is NOT the government's responsibility.

As to the education.. they have been spending what $4000++++ per child for how many years????????
