Brooks satire on the Roberts hearing
New york Times ^ | September 15, 2005 | David Brooks

Specter As I was saying, Senator Biden, you have the floor.

Joseph Biden Jr. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I thought this might be a good moment to give the committee a complete history of my heroic sponsorship of the Violence Against Women Act, but before I do that I'd like to interrupt myself by mentioning that I ride the train every day, often speaking with regular Americans, but before I do that I'd like to interrupt my interruption of myself by asking the chairman to restrain the nominee. During my first round of questioning, the nominee continually interrupted my questions by trying to give answers. I could barely keep up my train of thought on stare decisis.

Edward Kennedy Starry De Cysis? Didn't she do a fan dance down at that old burlesque house in Providence?

Brooks satire on the Roberts hearing. Pretty funny, but as usual the "house conservative" is really an independent moderate satrising both sides.

"...And I feel modest. You see this suit? I skinny-dip in this suit. That's how modest I feel."

ROTFL!

David Brooks as "house conservative". Who are they trying to kid? Saw him as I watched some of the analysis yesterday on PBS (no, I do not trust anything from the news dept of that organization as it is leaning way left) and Brooks sounded VERY liberal.

By the way, when is an elected official -- presumably Republican, going to have the stones to pull federal funding for that joke, PBS?

I was hoping for MEL Brooks - he'd be funnier.

He's conservative FOR THE NEW YORK TIMES. Of course, to the NYT the ACLU is mainstream organization.

PBS liberal? Just heard Nina Totenberg deny she was liberal and state that they are middle of the road.

I believe her. Don't you?

I used to think he was a RINO, but increasingly I am fairly well convinced that he's simply and out and out Lefty infiltrating the GOP.

Biden is an arrogant Imbecile, he has the audacity to want to be POTUS and he makes a fool of himself and his sleazy party with his poor performance interrogating a man
much smarter than he !
These collective boobs Kennedy, Biden, Leahy and the rest,

I’ll leave Finestein alone her shoe story must have the advent of a future of senior moments to come !

Biden tripped himself up repeatedly and as the story goes is a legend in his own mind !

Kennedy was in his cups with a typical grumbling session and a quick trip to the CNN cameras for a news of the day dump!

Justice Roberts was very kind to these incompetent interrogators, the whole thing was reminiscent of an old Three stooges movie ! Bring it on Libbers !!

We own America ,yah,yah !

Interesting article:

In his September 9, 2003, debut as a Times columnist, he noted: "The Bush administration has the most infuriating way of changing its mind. The leading Bushies almost never admit serious mistakes.
Well, clearly he's not biased - if he were, he would have called them BushBots. </sarcasm>

I hope the liberals nominate Biden for POTUS.

He more stupid than Kennedy - and he's drunk most of the time.

Nina Totenberg is a liberal blood sucking vampire have you seen her in her high collard cape ? She looks like the queen of the night !
She even looks like the count tall and skinny .She isn’t a liberal, yeah right just like her predecessor Mara Liasson !
Her teeth are even pointy .She looks fairly good for an old babe but with a libber ,no way its beneath my dignity ,it would be like bestiality !

Specter's rant about the Violence bill was disgraceful. I can't believe he actually angrily defended how those morons tried to use the Commerce Clause to Federalize "bias" and verbal and physical assaults on women. Rehnquist was right to ridicule it. Congress has gone way too far in sucking non-existent powers from the Constitution like vampires. The SCOTUS has an obligation to restrain them, just as the President has an obligation to restrain the SCOTUS when it oversteps its bounds (by denying enforcement).
