MONTREAL (CP) - Securicor Canada Ltd. is offering up to $2 million as a reward for information in the recent holdup of one of its armoured trucks.
The information must lead to the arrest and conviction of the individuals as well as recovery of the money stolen in the Sept. 7 theft in Rigaud, west of Montreal, the company said Thursday in a statement.
The Toronto-based company didn't say how much money was stolen but called it "a significant amount."
Jean-Paul Cousin, the company's vice-president of operations, wouldn't comment on the progress of the investigation.
Cousin wouldn't say how many people were involved in the robbery and ruled out the possibility of a Securicor employee helping the thieves.
The robbery would have taken weeks or months of preparation, he said, adding anyone with information should contact the Quebec provincial police.
Securicor bills itself as Canada's premier financial security services provider.
I'm sure they'll track down the bad guys with their new oh-so-useful gun registry.
LOL
What is that-$50 in American money? ;-)
They don't offer direct exchange between canadian dollars and american dollars. You must first exchange the canadian money for monopoly money, and then the monopoly money for real money.
