It's seems that 24 hours doesn't mean the same to the left as it does to the rest of the world.
My guess is the "guards" might have taken the stuff away themselves because they were tired of watching a bunch of useless crap. Now there's nothing left to watch.
Roadside 'memorials' give me the creeps. It seems kinda pagan to be posting memorials on the exact spot where somebody died in a car accident. Many are not maintained and get trashed by the weather. Just an eyesore after a while. My 2 cents.
They go away to do some Bongloads....duh
"Caseys boots are gone! His boots are gone."
Ummm. . . where did she get his boots? Weren't they left in Iraq? If he had army boots from a previous tour of duty, wouldn't they have been turned in someplace before he was sent overseas?
Don't know the answers, but have to wonder just exactly where these boots came from.
You can't make this stuff up.
Just like the law says, the exact opposite of their stated intent.
Thanks for the pic. She looks like Mr. Ed in his horse trailer.
Of course. In Liberal Land one is expected to leave deeply sentimental objects in ditches whilst one goes on a hippy-dippy crusade. It just makes sense.
Whoever got the boots probably deserves them more than Cindy. So far all she has done is shame them.
"mom has been very neglectful". If she was any decent mother she never would have left the boots there. It was never about her son. They are probably lying about the boots for publicity.
It's called "picking up litter" and it happens in lots of places.
""Does Texas have an "Adopt a Highway" program?"
Yes, and we have our world famous "Don't mess with Texas" anti-litter campaign.
Funny about the Casey Memorial. There are two types of land in Texas. State land and Private land. Either one would have to be officially dedicated as a memorial to be permanent.
For example i can have a small burial plot on my land, but it would have to remain a burial memorial, and monument in perpetuity.
I doubt the state gave a slice of the bar ditch to the Shehani's. (it would be a senate thing). I also doubt that a private land owner, gave up a chunk. (it's a state surveyor's and title office thing.)
It's a last gasping breath of bs.
My first thought too.
mc
some good citizen , just cleaning up the trash.
Most likely the spirit of Casey and his fellow, fallen comrades didn't appreciate having their sacrifices and memories so grossly misused.
1-800-Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Either an old pair of boots he left behind or personal effects shipped home. I can almost guarantee you those weren't his working pair of boots.
Hasn't Sheehan herself been caught using phony Casey memorabilia before? Maybe the boots were "fake but accurate"?
Considering how vile the purpose of the "protestors," and how lame the effect, it is truly enjoyable to read this report. You are right. These people were devoid of honor, and demonstrably cynical as they scurried back to their house every night instead of keeping the vigil they pretended to care about. My guess is we will never hear about this again, because the truth is, even the skanks in the article don't really give a dam, now that the media has gone away.
