Lee Jong Sun sounds like good people.
Pack up the statue and bring it home with all the troops. 50 years is enough.
Only the older South Koreans truly understand what we did for them. The young ones, much like the younger French, have no clue.
They have no idea how painful and tragic their lives will become if North Korea ever occupies South Korea. They will truly rue the day they had bad thoughts about the US.
His son found it easier and safer to change his name and live in obscurity here in the US.
Clean and easy...ain't no such thing.
...just to hack his detractors off some more.
No kidding...You don't say?
That to me is a good thing because SOUTH Korea wouldn't exist if it was not for the US. They would all be saluting the beloved leader right about now were it not for us...
No Church, NO freedom TO protest... NO travel... people starving... NO college... NO a whole bunch of other things that they otherwise would not have had...
Yawn, I am growing weary of the leftists vicious tactics world wide. Hope none of them ever need help from us again.
"Back then, if anybody had protested they would have been shot instantly. It would have been clean and easy," Jeon said. "It was clean and easy in those days."
This is a true Korean sentiment.
"From the sidelines, nearly 1,000 conservative defenders of the statue, many of them Korean War veterans, threw eggs and garbage at the protesters. Some blocked an ambulance carrying away injured protesters, screaming that communists didn't deserve to be rescued, witnesses said."
Sounds like a chapter in good standing of Free Republic is on the job in South Korea.
Lol, well at least they're upfront about wanting to rewrite history.
These spoiled punks don't seem to understand what the Japanese understand all too well...and that is that Kim Jong Il has plans to finish the job that Stalin and Mao.... sorry....his father started (and then some).
And when he puts those plans into motion, the only people who can count on help from us are the Japanese.
Hey guys you hear about this????
God Bless him.
Always, for them: Duty, Honor, Country; always their blood and sweat and tears, as we sought the way and the light and the truth. - Gen MacArthur
AKA: "Fellow travelers."
That's right, sugar-pie. If it weren't for MacArthur Korea would be one united country, and you'd be slowly starving to death and trying to live on grass like your cousins in the north. I'm sure the agony of starvation would be tempered for you by the pleasures of knowing that you're ideologically pure.
My father served under MacArthur and my brother is named for him. I was raised to revere him. Be damned to these miserable ungrateful people, who don't understand that it is due to him they have the freedom to demonstrate amidst the wealth of the new South Korea.
I think we should remove all our troops and our money from S. Korea immediately and let the S. Koreans rot. Let the NK's invade and turn their POS country into another starving communist paradise overnight.
Screw all the ingrates of the world.
"If not for him, our country would not have been divided"
Yes, it would have been "unified" under Communism and you would all live like slaves.
The protesters must have been Communists, if that's what they wanted.
Yeah, you'd ALL be living under President Eraserhead and eating tree bark. Idiot.
