Artless Graft (As William Jefferson shows, even corruption in Louisiana isn't done well anymore.)

Probably Joe Kennedy Sr. He was as crooked as the day is long.

This sounds to like the liberals (and) the media are driving major policy decisions. Are the administration and the GOP helpless before these manipulating swine?

Will there be questions concerning what happened to previous mountains of federal money that went down the Louisiana/New Orleans sewer? Will there be careful oversight of the mammoth amounts of our tax-dollars that will, more than likely, suffer a similar fate? Oversight by whom, the Congress or perhaps a commission similar to the 9-11 Commission?

There has been more than one disaster.

The reason Rush kept on hammering that point - that Jefferson is a Democrat - is because if he didn't, nobody would. The MSM would simply ignore it, as they do all demonrat hi-jinks.

Having worked in Louisiana for 11 years it was always amazing to me the way native Louisianans laughed and joked about the corruption. It has become a way of life for them and it doesn't really seem to bother them. When I first moved to Louisiana to work I lived in Shreveport for six months. It didn't take me long to make up my mind that I would live in Texas and commute 25 miles to work. There was no way I would put my kids into the Shreveport school system when I read in the newspaper about a third grader getting stabbed in school.
