Sorry to say this but... I don't get it... is Bush sleeping with Blanco or something? (I know, there goes breakfast) No one in LA should be able to even look at the numbers on documents that will go there for rebuilding. They spent all the levee money on everything but levees, now you think they'll do different? Nagin, Blanco and Landrieu must go... Did you notice the echoes of "I take responsibility"? Take care of it but nail each one of them to the wall.

BTW, they get trailers and 600 dollar monthly vouchers?

It's a far cry from the lockstep Dems.

That's for sure.

I have to confess that I did not watch Fox and Friends this morning on purpose, I just did not want to hear it. I watched a re-do of the Roberts hearings and Designing Women. I normally watch F&F, but I just couldn't do it. No way can the President walk into an unsecured disaster area, where the cops are looting and shooting is going on. What would he have done that day? Better for him to get his people together and try to figure out how to fix the problem.

"ED Hill started saying that was ridiculous, but then she went on a rant about how the President should have known that he needed to be on the ground and not doing *just* a fly over."

ED Hill is really in over her head. While she was watching football in front of her (self-described) 20 screen TV which immediately takes any game that goes into the red zone, all weekend, she can still and criticize the President for not walking around on the ground in NO the day after a hurricane.

If we don't give folks trailers

Where should we put them to their homes are repaired/rebuilt?

They can't stay in the shelters forever?

He does listen to dissenting views and then goes with his gut. But I meant in his speeches, I think they stifle him. I guess I like the cowboy talk better.

Here is my response. The enterprise thinkers generally do not support massive government intervention. One need only recall Amtrak [the Post Office, Social Security, etc, etc]. If the gov't intervention includes massive debt, than for sure it is not from the enterprise playbook. People should be given advantages, tax breaks, vouchers, etc. to empower themselves. But, to help people by reallocating money that others have worked hard to earn is Socialism.

Thanks, I have reread the speech too, NEVER a mention of 200 billion or 300K mobile homes. I am concerned about all the speculation and criticism of our President, he IS making an effort.

No prices means no gasoline.

Around here (NW FL) if you see a price next to regular and all the rest are blank, it means that they only have regular.

BTW, since Citgo provies most of the gas for this part of FL, the gasoline is down to $2.599 at Citgo stations.

It makes me laugh that there is an Exxon station with regular at %2.899. He got the same gasoline from the same barge, sitting down in Niceville, but feels he can charge 30 cents more for it? Yeah, the station was empty.

Where are they going to put the trailers?

Jesse needs to concentrate on all that back child support he owes. He doesn't take care of his responsibilities and he's trying to tell the govt. how to? That's a poverty pimp for you. He's part of the problem. Another child without a father around who has no idea how to be a man... who thinks sleeping around and being tough (a hood, remember those from the Dome?). What about the part he's played? Funny how he didn't say anything about the early contribution of Planned Parenthood of one free Emergency Contraception kit, free abortions (they did that here after 9-11 for a month), or a months supply of birth control. Nevermind you may have just seen your baby or child float out of your hands to drown... you just wouldn't want to have more... let's kill off the rest, enough didn't die. I didn't hear Jesse say anything about that.
