That's about the same here west of Chicago. There was one station that had raised their prices to $3.85 after the hurricane, but everyone is back down around $2.89-2.95.

This morning prices were actually down instead of up!

Is this a good time to say that ours was down to $2.74 last night? Hope the downward trend continues!

Yeah they have been hovering around that price all summer, they were a little lower at the beginning of June around 2.59, so It's not a massive increase.

On the way home from a trip, the Sunday of the hurricane weekend, I had to pay $3.399 to get "any" gas at a truck stop.

I kept the receipt and will send it to Gov. Bus who reall hates gouging. That stations will get a telephone call from Gainesville, trust me. They were taking advantage of the highway temp signs that read "Low Fuel Supply - West of Gainesville."

This truck stop was 25 miles EAST of Gainesville and was getting plenty of gas from Jacksonville. I know - 9 tankers passed me between JAX and Gainesville.

Gov. Bush got a anti-gouging bill passed after a previous hurricane and ne encorces it. Bless his heart.
