It was not clear what caused the blast.Mainly Christian areas east of Beirut have witnessed a series of night time explosions since the assassination in February of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri in a huge car bomb.
BEIRUT, Sept 16 (Reuters) - A car bomb exploded in a mainly Christian neighbourhood of the Lebanese capital Beirut late on Friday, wounding at least four people, a senior security source said.One of the wounded was in a critical condition.
The bomb exploded near a branch of Lebanon's Byblos Bank in the Christian-dominated area of Achrafieh, the source said, adding that it badly damaged a building and destroyed two cars.
A series of explosions have rocked Lebanon since the February killing of former Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri and 20 others in a huge car bomb.
