She is insincere. She wants a piece of the contracting of the infinite dollars the fed will make available. Unless President Bush gets smart, the liberal democrats stand to get vrey rich on this disaster.

This has already been posted, and drew a lot of cynical comments. Personally, I think she is sincere and I think there may even be other honest Dems out there who agree with her. Remember that Jesus said not to quench the smoldering flax - that is, don't stomp out hopeful signs simply because they aren't perfect. I thought her words were great and I hope they reach Dems all over the country. I'm sick of Dem partisan politics destroying this country.
Thursday my wife and I went to TBN's "Praise The Lord" taping with Dr. James D. Kennedy and two other black pastors on the panel. We were more or less the only whites in the crowd together with four others from Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale. The issue was about the Katrina victims. The black pastors and all their black parishioners were mostly applauding the President's performance indicating to me that there is a shift among blacks toward the democratic party who take them for granted! Just look at the huge back firing on ted "hairy" koppel's early Night Line" outside the Astrodome in Houston after the President's speech in N.O. All who there were interviewed "unexpectedly" bashed the local NOLA officials and gave high-marks to the President!!
Go to: www.rushlimbaugh.com and see the re-play, a MUST see!!!

The Dems have read the polls. They know those that "blame Bush" are bogus, and they know that they are getting more answers than they want to admit like those on "Nightline" the other night. The Dems are collapsing.
We should welcome her remarks, if it has real deep face value behind it!??!
She will be heavy scolded by the clintons, alGore, howeird dean, kennedy, durbin, kerry, feinstein, "dirty" harry, je$$e, sharpton and the rest of that liberal wing of their party for speaking her mind being proud of President Bush!!!

Good comments. It's looking like a Karl Rove plot to destroy the Dim party and it's working.

"The interviews with the people in Houston from NOLA, pretty
much puts the spike in the heart of the Democrat beast. The
New Orleans people were praising "GW" for his actions. The dems can't
look like idiots in front of their own people."
Black democrat mayor Nagin didn't help these folks.
Democrat governor Blanco didn't help these people.
White Republican Bush sent troops that DID help these people.
In the demoralized, hungry, angry state they were in when rescued, they will look kindly on the one who showed up.
So if I were Nagin, Blanco, or Donna Brazille I'd be talkin real nice about Mr. Bush, right now.
'bout splains that for me.

Yes, I think there's a shift going on, too.
One of the things that I read in many interviews with people who fled NO is that they were scared - because they knew no white people, they had never lived around white people before, and many of them had never been out of NO or even, in some cases, out of their crummy slum neighborhoods before. I think a lot of blacks have simply been so isolated on the Dem plantation that they really didn't know what was going on, and I think they're surprised by what they see out there in the big world.

That might just be the case if Donna has gone back to pitching for the farm teams.

She has me beat on this one. I think she is sincere. I hope others follow suit. Yes, I do too. What you said about Bubba is true - it's hard to give him credit for anything, of course, because he didn't do much (except signing off on the GOP welfare reform bill!). But if he had ever given any reason for support, it still would have taken a lot of guts to suddenly support him as she has done for Bush. She deserves support for this.

"GW's first convert?"....I think she was half way there already....
I saw an interview with DB before the last election where she said she and Karl Rove were friends....they have very different ideas politically, but the are both strategists and enjoy the things they have in common.

True. Still, I think we should start off with a welcoming and trusting attitude - and if we do the verification part and they don't hold up to it, then it's a whole different ball game.

You can tag me "O ye of little faith", because I remember the likes of Barbra Streisand and Rosie O'Donnell declaring Bush is "Our President" after 9/11.
That scenario really held up, didn't it?

Frankly I don't care if she is insincere or lying or greedy or misguided--she's not blocking the way for progress with needless party bickering. Our system is rooted in a bipartisan approach. The only way anything is accomplished is through the discovery of joint interests and agreeing to collaborate.

I'm willing to cut her some slack...it's her hometown...so Bush succeeded royally in his speech. It was to speak to people's hearts. But politically, I think her comments were a door for other Dems to walk though and hop on the horse that's winning. Mark my words, next week you'll be seeing some high profile Dems saying the same thing. Right now, they just look like negative cry babies. They know they need to change their tone. This was the first step.

Cautiously optimistic in turning around some Democrat bastions.
A lot of die hard Democrats having a second look at our President just like Donna Brazille.
It will be fun to watch the rebuilding of Gulf States under a Republican administration versus 60 Years of Democrat slavery.

"The fact is that 250,000 evacuees came to Texas, 30,000 students got enrolled in our schools; many thousand college students .. the list goes on."
What a fine tribute to our President from his home state!
God Bless Texas and the United States of America. The world will see what this country can accomplish.
God never gives us a burden that we can't handle with His help.
