I hear that escaped felons are also refusing to seek help for fear of being re-arrested. We should give them some form of special status too. Perhaps a $100K in cash and a car?
Oops... </sarcasm>
Yesterday, front page WSJ, a story of how a caravan of 20 Guatemalans left NO and went to Nashville. One night in a church shelter. They are all settled with jobs. It will make you think all this aid is unnecessary.
Gee, now they need to be a PROTECTED CLASS?!?!?!
WTF?!
The "special status" reserved for illegal aliens is business class on the deportation bus.
"....it creates a moral dilemma for us in how do we advise our constituents,""
Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Mat 7:13
Should have let them drown go back to your own country
GO MINUTEMEN
It's nothing new. They've been getting the pass for years.
They routinely break the law in broad day light and the cops, local politicians, Congress and the President all look the other way.
But you can bet, you'd better pay that parking ticket and pay all your taxes, or you my friend will be handcuffed and put in a cage.
What's strange about Harry is the 180 he's done regarding immigration in the last 10 years. Back then he was one of the few democrats not only calling for a clampdown on illegals but also for reducing legal immigration to more traditional levels. Must be all those new voters in Nevada helped him to see the light.
Sure give them special status, a free ticket back to their country of origin. They don't belong here. Send them home.
Some things just don't change..
I don't see any bargaining or wiggle room in the issues here: either local, state and federal employees enforce our laws, or, they don't. They don't (or should not) get to select out which they "want to" enforce and which they "dont' want to" enforce.
Illegal immigrants are not a class of citizenship in the country and should be deported. A person in an elected office (still an employee of the taxpayers unless some foreign government or private organization is paying their salaries, staffs' salaries and office space and expenses), Reid, specifically, an elected official in the U.S. is sworn to uphold the law.
Instead, there you have Reid actually asking people to disallow the laws, and trying to enforce a standard of disrespect of his office -- and citizens otherwise -- as I've rarely seen or heard.
Until those countries get rid of their caste systems they should just be ignored.
Yes the high morals of those who support lawbreakers.
Our President doesn't want them deported - he wants them to be here to collect social security on top of all the freebies they're already collecting.
Mr.President, do you believe it is "immoral" to illegally invade the United States?
Since their jobs "Americans wont do" are gone, they can go home.
