Some of you may recall that al qaeda stated on 9/11 that hurricane "katrina" was an answer to THEIR prayers. Whom do you suppose they petition? It is not the one true God whom we know, the one who created this earth. I humbly submit that we are in a battle here, and our God wants and needs to hear from us.
prayer ping
My neighbor, Kristy, called at 1:50 PM and asked for prayer for her relatives in Galveston.
All of them are evacuating.
Her grandfather lives between Galveston and Dallas. She has uncles, aunts, and their children in Galveston.
The hitch is that one of them owns a lot of livestock and they are not able to move all of them; they are taking their mares and a stud, and some of the cows.
Thanks in advance.
God have mercy on these people, and the animals too. (Remember the Flood!)
I've been praying since this morn, praying God's mercy on us, Texas and our country!
Incoming! I hope we get enough in to slow Rita down.
Dear God of my fathers, light of the world. Please have mercy on your nation it's president, it's people and the people of the Gulf Coast. They ,who, tonight, fear the storm and what it can do. If it does come to Texas, let your light shine through. Let the light come into Texas and let the good, by standing in your mist, shime on the people of Texas. Let america know how kind we are, and with your help we and our presidnet, the Texas governors, and the various mayors , will shine as we stand with you Lord in our hour of need.
May the Holy Spirit speak to your people in America, Lord, may the people turn to you Heavenly Father as the source of all good, of healing and of miracles. May they KNOW that You have the power to rebuke this storm, to calm the winds and the waters. Holy Spirit, speak to the hearts of the people! Awaken their Spirits. May we be a holy, right-living, God-fearing land! In Jesus's name, Amen.
Prayers for all the people along the Gulf Coast, that they will be able to get away from this bad situation coming with Rita. That our leaders will do the right things to provide the resources for them to survive.
I think this is as good a time as there ever was for fasting and prayer. God is merciful, as many of us have experienced in our lives. If He has sent this to get our attention, we best take heed and fall on our knees. Not that times like this are the only time we need to pray, but it shows a humility that is probably much needed in the eyes of God. We have become pretty self-reliant and self-absorbed as a nation. I don't expect Bush to declare a national day of prayer and fasting, but I think Reagan would've. Lincoln sure would've as well as a few others. Too bad we don't have a backbone these days to stand (and/or fight) against the PC onslaught.
