Well, if the police are losing the battle over pot, and the solution would be to legalize it, why not legalize crime? After all, isn't that a losing battle? Civilized societies have been fighting crime since man was created.......and we still have crime.

It is not a question of practicality. It is a question of what is right and what is wrong.

What a doofus.

Canada is a French loving drug embracing socialist haven for anything bad these days. I would be shocked to hear they didn't have their police giving it out like candy.

They are THAT stupid up there in my opinion.

Be grateful we are NOT Canada.

So, smoking pot is "wrong" because it's illegal? So what? There is nothing immoral about smoking pot.

Which is the bigger evil? Someone smoking pot or the some policeman taking a person's money just because a cop THINKS that it might be somehow linked to the sale of pot?

If government says something is wrong, do you accept it at that?

prior to the 21st amendment, consumption of almost all alcohol was illegal. Would you have used this argument against legalization of drink using? If not, why not? What is the relative harm to society of legal alcohol versus that created by the black market and its attendant elements, organized crime and corruption?

Put these same questions in the context of legal marijuana? What great harm will be done to society versus the harm having it (and other items) illegal now is doing?

As always, follow the money.

Yikes. What about liberty? What about individual responsibility? What about privacy? What about private property? What about limited government? .... What about these principles scare you so damned much?!!! Grow a capable of living free clue and realize you simply can not be dinking with dope (governmentally) under the system our founders set up.

Now, if you want to preach and minister and help and counsel and love and love and support and love your neighbor more and more and more. Fine... Get on with it. But get the hell out..... And I mean GET THE HELL RIGHT OUT, of his Garden and his Living Room!

OK, I don't smoke it, but my argument is this: Why is pot, which is no more harmful than alcohol illegal?
