"Her diabetic dad couldn't leave and was rescued after five days, dead bodies floating in his face. His only chair, a rocking chair, destroyed in 8 feet of water."
Donna should have taken some of that consultant's money and bought her dad a backup chair. Only one chair? In a whole house? Come on.
agreed...the one chair caught my eye as well. Hello Donna, couldn't you afford to help dear old dad?
See, that's what I'm thinking. She's a big-bucks consultant in DC and her family lives in poverty and cannot even leave in the face of the hurricane? And she does nothing? mmm. Still, it is remarkable and admirable that she praises President Bush.
A "backup chair".
Funny.
Yes, it's amazing that Donna's father is still so very "poor" after all the money Donna has made. He only has ONE chair???? She didn't spring for at least a couple of new chairs over the years? Most decent people who grow up poor and eventually become sucessful would never consider letting their own father go through life with only one chair in their house.
That was my first thought too. Surely she would send her poor old family some money. Afterall, it doesn't look like she's missed too many meals. I don't believe what any of them say...
