The main evidence that makes me say global warming (in the sense of a general sustained historical increase in temperature world wide, not the prediction it will continue or the proposition that it is caused by human activity) is a fact is the increase in average ocean surface temperatures.
Sure there are shifts that make atmospheric temperatures drop here and rise there, sometimes even on a climatological scale, but the ocean surface temperature can be measured from space, not at one point like a weather station but all over.
the ocean surface temperature can be measured from space
Two quotes from you that help bolster your belief that global warming is a fact.
In the overall scheme of things though, throughout history, the amount of time we've been able to measure temperature from space is not very long, is it?
I don't think there is enough "history" here to draw any real conclusions regarding so-called "global warming", that is unless you're a hungry scientist starving for yet another government grant. :)
