See, I can't get past that bleach thing. They say to add bleach to the water and that just freaks me out.

1 drop per quart, 2 if it's visably dirty. Let it sit sealed and then open the cap for a while, the chlorine will vent off some and it should end up tasting like tap water.

Bleach purifies the water. Tap water becomes stagnant after awhile. Just a few drops per gallon.

Bleach is just chlorine--best disinfectant there is. You don't want to drink it, but it will clean up water. It's the main "cleaning fluid" I use, and it's relatively cheap.

That's basically what they do when they chlorinate your tap water or a pool.

Oh dear. I have that same issue with my aunt here. Thing is, the water from the faucet uses the same chemical chlorine that gets the clothes white. If ya have to, let somebody else add the bleach to the water and pretend you don't know. :-)

Ch.11's Dr. Frank:

No sign yet of a turn further to the north, current track brings the eye over or just east of Galveston. May indeed come in at Galveston instead of Port Arthur. NHC is still calling for a High Island landfall, around 2am.

Galveston news conference:

If a High Island hit, Galveston is expecting 75-90mph winds, the worst likely from 8pm-midnight. 7' surge level on the island.

Oh duh! I forgot to add, if you add some lemon juice to the water you won't get the sensory perception of bleach. If it's a large container of water like a 5 gallon water jug or something just drop a whole lemon down there. Anyway, that's what we do for my aunt.
