Sen. Charles Schumer on Thursday voted against Judge John Roberts' nomination as the Supreme Court's next chief justice, saying there was a ``reasonable danger'' he will turn out like conservative Justice Clarence Thomas.
``The risk that he might be a Thomas and the lack of any reassurance that he won't _ particularly in light of this president's professed desire to nominate people in that mold _ is just not good enough,'' said Schumer, D-N.Y., a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
``I hope he is not a Thomas. But the risk is too great to bear,'' Schumer said. ``The court's balance may for decades be tipped radically in one direction.''

Schumer's standard was film -- who liked what -- and he probably just didn't like the titles that Roberts provided ("North by Northwest" and something else).

It's actually an all news AM radio station here in NYC. Owned by Infinity (which also owns CBS) (and coincidently also owns the other leading all-news station, 880 AM WCBS). What happened to anti-trust laws? Sniveling libs dominate the media.

Democrats in general are the most bigoted in our society.
What other people immediately take note of people's races, religions. and ethnic origins and assign to them a laundry list of stereotypical characteristics based on their own ignorance and prejudice?
Any Christian of any denomination who might actually practice his or her faith is suspect in the eyes of Democrats.
The only fundamentalists Democrats support are the Muslims.

to turn out like a black appointed judge.
My brain hurts with thinking of all the ironies.
Sounds like Chuck is the type of guy who needs to read his horoscope each day before he'll leave his home.
