Follow the Money
The federal government has infused tons of cash into recovery for Hurricane Katrina. What will happen if Rita is as deadly as feared? Senator George Allen (R-VA) explains where the money is going to go.

FOXFANVOX
Thanks.
I did do so.
I am of to work now.
see ya Monday.
Well, FOXFANVOX will be sending an e-mail for one.
Thank you.
As far as the spending goes, two days ago I heard Mike Pence talk abut how is efforts to find offsets were a "direct result" of the President's meeeting with Congressional leaders.
And as far as Katrina spending goes, BY LAW the government is supposed to cover 75% of the costs. I suggest that people who are griping need to talk to their Congressional people and get that law changed; the President has sworn to uphold all of the laws, even those he doesn't like.
Does anyone know EXACTLY how much is to be spent? No, because we don't even know what all is damaged yet. Does anyone know how much is going to be covered by the private sector and charities? No, for the same reason.
Has the President done anything that merits this snarky response by Ms. Noonan? No. The three things he proposed in his speech are conservative ways of dealing with a disaster. All of the griping is by people who have other axes to grind and make silly comments like "Bush is trying to buy favor with the democrats." That is ludicrous and I am not accepting such second-rate punditry.
Noonan (which I will call her since she doesn't bother to give the President the courtesy of his title) needs to face the fact that President Bush is his own person, the times are different than when President Reagan was in office, and that President Bush's speechwriter is every bit as good as she was, if not better.
And, by the way, I wonder how come we don't hear from any other Reagan speechwriters, especially since she wasn't HEAD writer. Could it be that they are not interested in trashing the President? Could it be that they, unlike Noonan, understand Reagan's 11th Commandment?
I am off my soapbox now. LOL!
Alright you groupies, where's the email?
Mass was great, lots of intercessions for hurricane victims of K and R. Prayed for FR crew also.
Always looking for a way to supplement retirement. 8)
[And E-mail your local station and ask them why Tony is not on. And if he is on yours than E-mail mine WBT Charlotte, NC that is too stuborn to jump on a good deal.]
I'll email your radio station and I have to check mine. :)
Have a geat weekend.
I got to hear my man for President of the United States! Woo Hoo! Thanks for having Senator Allen on. I am thrilled. He's just an awesome guy!
I figured you were working hard when you didn't chip in doing the George Allen interview. He is saying the right things and I always like people that use sports analogies, ala Judge Roberts. However, I am not sure about that Cindy Sheehan stand?
You might, however, have to change your tag line for his running mate. 8)
BTW: Did you read Tony's offer for an autographed picture if you E-mail him at his Fox web site.
I offered one, too, but mine wasn't free! (Hee, hee)
Got to watch you on The Weekend Show on Fox for a change. You're looking good...not to give you a swelled head. It is so good that you are feeling so well. Prayers have been answered on your behalf, and they continue!.....now I'll go away and wait for Monday to get here! :o) Woof!
LOL, As soon as Allen has a running mate I will change my tagline. I need to e-mail Tony. I have never had an autograhed photo of anyone. Cool.
