Iraq is an artificial country put together from after WWI. There is no natural homogeneity throughout the country. There are only competing interests. There is also a civil war going on in addition to the insurgency.

My worst fear is the US leaving Iraq in a scene reminicent of helicopters lifting off from the US embassy in Saigon with people hanging off.

That will be news to the 90% of Iraqis that support the Government of Iraq. What's going on in Iraq is terrorism against an emerging democracy.

I guess the 3 years of MSM bisa would make you think that, but it aint gonna happen, not with Bush on point.
We've killed hundreds of terrorists this month.
Next month I predict a Constitution ratified, Allawi sweeps in later this year, Iraqi army takes on more of security, we draw down to 50,000 troops, and it turns into rotations more like what we have in Germany.
