p.s. I finished Isaac's Storm. I'm breathing with this storm, and with the people caught in it; dead or alive. The surge is what gets me. What it's like to have utter devastation.. and you surviving it, in surge, in winds, with debris, with pelting rains resembling buckshot to the skin.... and I'm praying for these folks. Our neighbors. I'm not giving anything away by telling you that one character survived, after being taken "down below" the surge by falling rafters by floating on a wall which had blown off. Some other folks in a lounge were sucked out of the room when their big bay window exploded.

I can't keep up with all the posts. They go by too fast. I lose my place when I post.

That's what I was wondering. What is the required # of hats to be packed in Shep's crew?

And C.C. Connelly in a PINK hat? Please, this is too much.

Does anyone else think that these reporters are pushing their luck this time? I think they are underestimating the dangers.

Man, I think these media types have no idea what this baby is going to do. They think because it went from a Five to a strong Three that it will be a walk in the park.

Forcasted to stall - 4 days of torrential rains over East TX / All of LA

Just DAMN... we're watching the SMACK, but just wait, it'll be the slow slog that REALLY causes the damage.

Mississippi is gonna swell like a Mofo.

Anyone able to listen to WJBO in Baton Rouge online? There's too much interference on my cheap radio and I cant get it to play online from two sources (including the JBO site itself). My back up plan in case of power outage is to go sit in the car and listen to the updates...LOL.

A flunky did run after and grab the one that flew off during the fall. Saw him just for a moment but camera whipped back to Shep.
