Dang it, Rush promised us they'd never listen to him!

Cokie Roberts on NPR this morning after deriding the President was asked about what the Dems are doing, she said they are doing nothing...

Oh I don't know. The Democrats are just waiting their savior, Sir Hillary to guide them to victory with shallow meaningless campaign promises of tax cuts to the middle class and a return to traditional values.

Shields is a Boston Liberal asswipe. After defending Clinton and his band of thieves for eight years he has the nerve to say that today everything is for sale in Washington. Perhaps he forgets the shopping bag full of money that Charlie Trie brought to the WH on behalf of James Riady. Or maybe he forgets the renting out of the Lincoln Bedroom. Or the sale of pardons, ambassadorships and resting places at Arlington. I could go on but what's the use.

Thanks. For a minute, I thought I was the only one who'd read this paragraph:

Because of the tragedy and official incompetence in both Iraq and Katrina, and because of the growing perception -- fueled by criminal indictments and allegations against GOP influence-peddler Jack Abramoff and a presidential appointee at the Office of Management and Budget, along with indictments in Texas of close associates of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay -- that nearly everything in George

"starting to get this"

I don't think so. The 527's control the democrat money so the democrats will have to yield to their demands or the money will dry up.

I think it's very funny .. the dems thought they had pulled a fast one on the repubs in the fund raising dept, and all the dems have done is cut their own throats. Now they are beholden to these groups.

The Republicans are beholden to theirs also, but, compared to the libs 527's , they sound totally sane..............

I agree .. but the big difference is that the repub 527's seem only interested in educating the public to the conservative agenda; supporting the president; supporting the troops .. and not to ursurping the authority of the repub party.

Exactly. We don't have an opposition party in this country. All we have are a bunch of far-left kooks competing to see who scream "I hate America" the loudest to Peoria. No wonder the Democrats aren't gaining ground at a time when President Bush and the GOP are most politically vulnerable.
