"Are you sure he wasn't the #3 guy? I'll take any number of terrorists meeting up with the same fate."

It was a "consultant"

Abu Azzam, reportedly the deputy to Abu Musab al Zarqawi, was shot during a house rain in Baghdad, according to Pentagon officials.

What?!?!?!  They LIED to me!  Durring the interview, they said the last guy who had that job got promoted to "Producer" at something called the "al Queda Network" (which I think is that crazy Spanish channel way up on the dial.)

(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,

 it was probably sarcasm)

I bet it's tough to get life insurance when you have to put down "Zarqawi's Top Aid" in the occupation box..

On the Somaliland capture. I believe it was Fazul Abdallah Mohammad, an AQ operative from the Comoro Islands, who was captured. The US had a $25 million bounty on his head. Negotiations will take some time.

There is a lot of room for advancement.

They advance to the top, and then get killed by our Troops.

Talk about your Peter Principle.

I never saw anyone with so many aides......

So many #2 Al Qaeda honcho aides at that.

I mean whats the recruitment slogan. See Iraq and get killed in 15 minutes.

How there can be anyone unemployed in Iraq with the amount of jobs Zarqawi offers?

Abu Azzam was the putative heir to Shaykh Azzam who was mentor to Osama Bin Laden. The loss of anyone named Azzam would be a terrific blow to the terrorists.

Zarqawi has more aides than San Fransicko:

Seems like every two weeks a "top" Zarquawi aide is killed. How many dozens of "top" aides does he have? How about just not making any such announcements until he himself is dead.

People are jaded. It would be like if they took out Rummy or Abizade.

IT hurts his logistics and leadership bench.
