Maybe I'm just a sucker for conspiracies, but I see something forming out of George Orwell's 1984. It is not hard to extend present political motivations to draw conclusions that parallel his writing. The SCO would correspond to East Asia and include some oil producing countries of the middle east, ie Iran. The EU with expansion into other middle east oil producing countries, ie Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, and others on the Saudi Peninsula, would form Eur Asia. That would leave the US, Britain, Japan, Taiwan, Australia and a remote possibility of a few eastern Europeans such as Poland and/or Checkeslovakia as Oceania. Might be a bit of a stretch, but hey, think about it.
