Noel Miller is the mother of five-year-old murder victim Evelyn Miller.
Casey Frederiksen is Noel's fiancé.
Investigators refused to comment about what prompted them to start questioning neighbors.
People who live in the neighborhood say investigators were there for hours. They walked from house to house, asking questions.
Hours later, two Charles City police cars drove up to Miller's home. Then, they left a few minutes later.
Noel Miller told TV9 police were there because neighbors filed a false complaint about children being left alone in her home but neighbors say their call to police was not a false report.
They insist children were in the home.
Noel says she feels like the neighborhood is ganging up on her and Frederiksen.
Noel also says she hopes investigators will find Evelyn's killer soon so people will finally stop pointing fingers at her and Casey. Then, Evelyn can finally rest in peace.
KCRG talked to Floyd County Attorney Marilyn Dettmer Monday.
She told TV9 authorities are questioning the neighbors as part of the investigation process.
Dettmer says her office is doing everything it can to find Evelyn's killer.

Federal investigators had more questions than answers today in the Evelyn Miller case.
As we've covered, five year old Evelyn Miller's murdered body was found after a six day search in the Cedar River.
Monday, a Division of Criminal Investigation Officer and the FBI were back in the neighborhood talking to the families around the home of Evelyn Miller's mother.
Those who were questioned said they were mostly asked about Noel Miller, Evelyn's Mother and her fiance Casey's relationship.
"They wanted to know anything that we knew as far as information if they've threatened us or any of the neighbors."
Monday evening around 6:00pm two Charles City Police vehicles came to Noel Miller's house.
One officer knocked on the door and got no answer.
Police say more information will be released tomorrow.

I'm not totally up to speed on this one. My first thought was her step father had something to do with this. Is the mom also a suspect?
Officially, there are no suspects (and Evelyn had no step father).
KCRG reports tonight that Noel Miller testified before a grand jury TODAY. KCRG also stated that Casey wasnt there. Would she be there provide evidence or would she be defending herself?
