Well I really think what we saw was a culture riot. (I had originally labeled it a "race riot" and I had to change that because my translation of that being what was motivating the rioters and looters- was not coming thru the way I had intended. I admitted that it was a poor choice of words on my part)- But culture yes- because look around; We see the faces of our troops and our police and our rescue personal- we look at the faces of our friends and look at the faces of some of our great leaders- they are all colors-all levels of pigmentation.

People who are really racist are of one culture and - yes there are people who are not racist and they are of another culture.

I don't believe that everyone is a degree of racist. Not my friends anyway- and be careful to think that my friends are one color please. :]

I was using racist in the sense of the new Free Republic vernacular which means "anyone who is not sensitive enough about race".

To me, the original idea of racist is that of race supremacist but folks here long ago dumped that higher threshold definition of racist.
We even have the word "racialist" now
I did not mean for you to feel that I implied you had only one sort of friends.

I resist qualifying everything I say here and never go into the "but, I have black friends" defensive posture. Folks who do that all the time end up sounding like an Uncle Remus charactiture.
