Frankly this could be good for us if it shakes up the party establishment and allows some new blood to come to the leadership table. DeLay isn't representing the interests of fiscal conservatives anyway.

So let's just allow the Rats to do whatever they want, to essentially use their cronies in the judiciary to basically pull off a coup?

Oh, yes. It's a good thing to allow someone to misuse their power to indict someone wrongly just because they are a political opponent.

You don't like Delay? Fine. I don't give a damn.

You don't take out political differences through a witchhunt. OR, by sanctioning a witchhunt because you want someone more fiscally conservative.

It's wrong, and NOT what conservatives/Republicans should stand for.

"DeLay isn't representing the interests of fiscal conservatives anyway."

So to achieve that aim, you'll happily help ruin an innocent man? REAL conservatives DO NOT believe the ends jusfity the means. Only Democrats and little "l"s do.

Delay IS representing border security, however, and has been one of the very few voices among the legislature who has spoken sense and reason to the various objectionable "guest worker" programs being pursued.

I think David Dreier is among those in CA who would morethanlikely endorse enthusiastically one of the guest worker programs -- my deduction only, not anything he's said/written but my guess only given Dreier's very strong support of CAFTA.
