And now a word from our real Sponsors of Free Speech

The Men and Women who serve,
and have served, our country
are the ones who make sure that
the Politicans and Judges are free to do their job.

We would not have a US Supreme Court
without the protection of the Military.

Politicans and Judges are safe
because of the Military who protect them.

TEST : Call your Senator or Congressman's office
AFTER 5 PM, or on the weekend.
IF you speak to an actual person, ask who's in charge today?

Now look up the phone number
of your local military base.
Call that number 24/7
and ask the live voice you get
to speak with the person in charge.

Send a Thank You while you enjoy your Freedom also.

Why? Because I'm skeptical about Roberts. And he gets us *nothing*. He's no better than the late Chief Rehnquist. If he'd replaced O'Conner you could argue it was an improvement.

Pat Leahy: George Bush must keep his promise to be a Uniter, not a Divider. He must stop refuting out claim that he is the new Hitler or, failing that, the new Bull Connor.

I totally agree. I feel like I would be celebrating a "hope", and I would have to have a lot of "faith" that Bush would nominate a real conservative since this one is a stealth candidate imo. He told me he was a fiscal conservative too. hmmmm. Since he has failed in that regard, my next reason for voting for him was that he would hopefully make the right choices for Supreme Court replacements. Now I have to operate on "trust".

Sorry, I don't feel like celebrating either. But I still hold out hope I guess.

He'll be doing some swearing, but it won't be swearing in.

Evan Bayh...again?

I thought he could be converted from the Dark Side. You know he's running for President now.

Although 15 or so Dims have said they will vote for Roberts, your point is well taken. I'm not holding my breath.

If the next Dem presidential candidate comes from the nay list, he will lose. Americans believe in a firm judiciary more than any other political issue. In NC the entire state government is run by Dems. The only place where NC voters will consistently put Republicans is in the State Supreme Court and in Federal Office. To counter this, the state government has now made judicial elections non-partisan.

Let's hope the Dems choose their candidate from the nay list:

Bayh
Biden
Boxer
Cantwell
Clinton
Corzine
Dayton
Durbin
Feinstein
Harkin
Inouye
Kennedy
Kerry
Lautenberg
Mikulski
Obama
Reed
Reid
Sarbanes
Schumer
Stabenow
Akaka
Rockefeller

Dingy Harry's head is about to spin right off.

Chuckie Schumer's "softball" questions about the "illegal amigoes" memos? You RATS are feelin' a little sick this morning, it seems.

UNANIMOUS CONSENT AGREEMENT--NOMINATION OF JOHN ROBERTS -- (Senate - September 26, 2005)

It wouldn't surprise me if Hitlery is pushing for this so she doesn't have to go on record with an individual vote.

What's Dingy Harry babbling on about? (I tuned in late.) Who's John Lewis? The labor leader?
