Hmmmmmmm..............wonder what dead people would look like in a photo ID?

and the American media is too dense to notice.....I believe our young people are noticing and that this president and his wife are wonderful role models.

I think so too, tom. Badly needed role models, I might add.
So few kids grow up seeing this kind of loving, committed relationship. I think there are many reasons why God chose this President to lead us right now, and his marriage to his lovely wife is one of them.

I have been following politics for a long time, since FDR's second term .. newspaper .. newsreels ...
I suspect that there was an earlier shift in technology that benefited FDR -- radio, which he used for his fireside chats. The Government went from being some small, far away group of politicians that one read about in the paper, to a friendly reassuring voice in your living room.
Then twenty years later, television came along, to further confuse the difference between the Federal government and a good neighbor. This led to a half century of the greatest expansion of government power in our history.

President Kennedy had Addison's disease. That was a potentially fatal disease then, and it was a very well kept secret, even from most of the media, I think.

To respond to your main point, yes the internet, kicked off by a rebirth in talk radio, is providing a powerful antidote to the lure of overly trusting big government.
The dominance by the three big networks, a couple of papers and the three newsweeklies is being broken.
Not a moment too soon.

"W" loves children (The seem to be magnetic for him) Almost Biblical. I imagine he and little John have had some "interesting" conversations.

I think the Internet has changed many things and not just politics.
Here I am in England able to communicate "live" with people in different countries at the same time and look at the same photos and TV footage. Quite remarkable how things have such a long way in a few short years.

This is just a guess, but I bet he has quite a natural connection with children of famous political parents.
